A recurring rat problem at this property required more than standard pest treatment. We needed to find exactly how the rats were getting in.
Using our latest CCTV camera and thermal imaging technology, we discovered a buried inspection chamber inside the property. Previous building work had left part of the drainage system unsealed, providing rats with a hidden access route.
Further investigation revealed that the rodents had dug beneath concrete lintels, giving them another route out of the drainage system and access to the property.
The solution included:
• Locating the hidden drainage entry point
• Identifying access beneath the concrete lintels
• Concreting and sealing vulnerable entry points
• Installing a RatGate to prevent further access through the drains
Rather than simply treating the rats, we identified and secured the routes they were using to help prevent the problem from returning.
